Emily and Andrew met completely by accident. In July 2020, right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, Andrew's close friend Olav inadvertently introduced the two. That summer, they began talking over Zoom and text, as Emily was still in Virginia prior to the start of the school year.

Eventually, Andrew asked Emily out on a date after she returned to Pittsburgh. What had initially been planned as browsing music at a record store turned into an entire day together, exploring the greater Pittsburgh area. On their second date, Andrew formally asked Emily to be his girlfriend. The rest is history.

The next few years feel like a blur. Emily and Andrew moved into their first apartment together and graduated from college. Then, on July 27, 2023, Andrew proposed to Emily while walking along Presque Isle Bay in Erie, PA.

While Emily and Andrew don't know what the future holds for them, they do know that they will be going into it together.
